Two planets orbiting 47 Ursa Majoris

Revised 15 August 2001

Doppler measurements exhibiting the two planets

The inner planet was discovered by Butler and Marcy (1996). Now, five additional years of observations have revealed a second, more distant companion, in a 7 year orbit: D.A. Fischer, G.W. Marcy, R.P. Butler, G.P. Laughlin, S. S.Vogt appearing ApJ 10 Jan 2002.
